Aoife Ní Fhearraigh

AOIFE is from Gweedore in Co. Donegal. The traditional feel of 'Calm the Soul' needed the haunting sound that Aoife brings to so many of the traditional Irish songs that she sings.  She has produced a number of albums, has toured and performed in the US, Japan, Europe and has recorded with other artists in various musical genres. It was lovely to meet her during the summer when she travelled to Galway to record the first verse of the song.

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
